The villagers’ economy, including those in rural areas, can be improved with the presence of attractive sales stalls. The Kampung Bukit Sawat Mukim and Village Consultative Councils and the Belait District Office held the Bukit Sawat Carnival 2022.
The carnival was officiated by Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan, Permanent Secretary for Municipal and District at the Ministry of Home Affairs. The event in conjunction with the Royal Birthday Celebration acts as a platform for young generation and youths to gain experience in event management. Visitors also enjoyed a number of activities held at Kampung Sungai Mau, Labi. Also present was Awang Mohd Yassin bin Ahmed, Acting Belait District Officer.
