The lack of knowledge among the public on the most ethical disposal of al-Quran verses is an obvious issue today. Pages of old al-Quran or Ql-Quran verses are often disposed of randomly and recycled in inappropriate manner. To correct this, Kumpulan Dinamika has taken the initiative in organising a campaign on distributing, collecting, and ethical disposal of Al-Quran verses and old Religious Books in the Temburong District this morning. The campaign took place at Mohd Salleh Main Mosque in Bangar Town.
The campaign is conducted under the Young Executive Programme with the cooperation of Temburong District Religious Office and the Extermination Unit, Administration Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs as well as the Mohammad Salleh Main Mosque. The briefing on the campaign was delivered by Awang Muhammad Aldan Aziz bin Haji Yussop, the Assistant Senior Education Officer of Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute. Meanwhile, Md Ali bin Haji Yamin gave a briefing on ethical disposal of materials containing Al-Quran verses.
In an interview with RTB, Awang Muhammad Adlan Aziz explained that such a disposal should be referred to the Extermination Unit so that it could be undertaken properly.
Present was Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu, Member of the Legislative Council Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Negara. Also in attendance were Haji Jamil bin Haji Abd Ghani, Temburong District Chief Religious Officer, Mukim Penghulus, Kampung Ketuas, government officers and staff as well as mosque officers. The function coincided with the distribution of boxes for collecting old Al-Quran and other religious books.
