The spirit of Muslim ummah in the country to welcome the month of Ramadhan was enlivened by 12 shots of the cannon in the capital yesterday afternoon. The shots of the cannon is a tradition in Brunei Darussalam to celebrate the arrival of the month full of blessings which is the month of Ramadhan.
12 shots of the cannon at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien were fired by personnel of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF. Starting tonight, all Muslims in the country will be performing the Sunat Tarawih Prayer at mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide.
