Car Battery Theft Case

A man was sentenced to 4 weeks imprisonment by the Magistrate's Court for theft. 31-year old, Afiq bin Abdullah was found guilty for stealing a car battery at the residential area in Kampung Lugu, Mukim Sengkurong. The case was reported to the Sengkurong Police Station by the car owner after he found out that his car was unable to operate.

The suspect has been apprehended by police and had admitted to have stolen the car battery and sold it to a shop in the Ban 6 area. The battery was found and seized for evidence of investigation. The suspect is facing an offence under Section 379 of the Penal Code, Chapter 22 for stealing and the court has sentenced him to 4 weeks imprisonment at the Maraburong Prison starting today.
