Outward Bound Brunei Darussalam is one of the government agencies which play a vital role in achieving the Wawasan Negara 2035 through a social security strategy. In line with its objective to enable youth to build physical endurance and mental stability as well as equip themselves with perseverance, courage, discipline, self-reliance and responsible character as well as self-adaptation to any situation and challenges in life. 16 youth association representatives in the country yesterday afternoon received certificates after completing the Youth Association Leadership course. Certificates were presented by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Emran Bin Haji Sabtu, Member of the Legislative Council. The ceremony took place at the Outward Bound in the Temburong District.
The 3-day leadership course is hoped to enhance self-esteem of youth. The course is the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports' initiative in providing guidance towards the development and excellence of the youth institution. It also acts as a platform in education the young leaders to play positive and effective roles in society and the nation. The leadership course is also hoped to provide exposure to future leaders on outdoor practical training in developing their physical and mental strengths.
