Charity Programme ‘Peduli Ummah: Brunei 4 Gaza’ Unites Bruneians for Palestinian Cause

Kampung rimba: The Bruneian community, particularly its youth, has once again demonstrated its unwavering support and solidarity for the Palestinian cause through the charity programme “Peduli Ummah: Brunei 4 Gaza.” Organized by the National Mosque Youth Executive Committee in collaboration with several Youth Bodies and Associations, the initiative is aimed at raising funds for the Humanitarian Fund for Palestinians. Additionally, it serves as a platform to instil awareness, foster empathy, and encourage community involvement in charitable activities.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the programme is supported by the Youth Division of the Mosque Affairs Department and was launched at a shopping centre in Kampung Rimba. The event, which took place on the morning of October 5th, was officiated by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. The launch also featured a prize presentation for the Best Peduli Ummah Video, recognition of the top 10 Peduli Ummah runners, and certificates of appreciation for sponsors.

To further engage participants, the event included a variety of activities such as charity sales, knowledge-sharing sessions, and children’s activities under the banner “Brunei Kidz 4 Gaza 2.0.” These initiatives not only raised funds but also promoted a sense of community and collective effort toward supporting Palestinians in need.
