The Chief of Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) has been awarded the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Command Badge. The badge award to Yang Berbahagia Admiral Tan Sri Ahmad Kamarulzaman bin Haji Ahmad Badaruddin was by the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Minister of Defence and the Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF.
The awarding ceremony was held THIS MORNING at the Royal Brunei Navy base. The award was given in recognition for his services in enhancing the relations between RBN and RMN. The award was presented by First Admiral Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad, the Acting Commander of RBAF.
Following the award, the Chief of RMN also paid a courtesy call to the Acting Commander of RBAF. Also present was Yang Berbahagia Vice Admiral Dato' Syed Zahiruddin Putra bin Syed Osman, the Commander Eastern Fleet RMN. During the courtesy call, the Acting Commander of RBAF congratulated the Chief of RMN for being a recipient of the RBN Command Badge. Both sides discussed on the cooperative activities between the navies of both countries, which includes exercises and training.
