The Nationwide Government School Compound Cleaning Campaign themed "My School, My Home" was also conducted at two separate locations.
At the Institute of Brunei Technical Education, the cleaning campaign was headed by Datin Paduka Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, THE Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education. Also joining the campaign was Dayang Nadia Lee Siew Hoon binti Abdullah, THE Deputy Permanent Secretary (Core Education) at the Ministry of Education. The main objective of the campaign was to improve the cleanliness and safety of all schools apart from raising awareness among the officers and staff of the Ministry of Education on the importance on maintaining the ministry's assets as well as the environment.
Meanwhile, the cleaning campaign at the vicinity of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University was headed by Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, the Rector of UNISSA. More than 100 participants comprising of lecturers, officers and staff as well as students of UNISSA took part in the campaign. Among other things, the cleaning campaign aimed to instill the sense of love towards the beauty and cleanliness of the environment, and create a more conducive working and learning environment in line with the Workplace Safety and Health Order 2009, as well as the Environment Protection and Management Order 2014.
