Closing Of the 11th CAPGC Conference

This year's Conference convened under the theme, "Enhancing Capabilities and Cooperation in Addressing Cybercrime" could not have been organized at a better and opportune time than now where the threat from cybercrime is multi-dimensional, targeting citizens, businesses and governments alike at a rapidly growing rate. This matter was stressed by Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Awang Haji Hairol Arni bin Haji Abdul Majid, Attorney General during the 'Closing of the 11th China-ASEAN Prosecutors-General Conference, 11th CAPGC, yesterday morning.

According to Yang Berhormat, through the friendship which have been forged during the Conference, the Prosecutors-General of ASEAN member states and China can continue to share more experiences and learn from each other best practices.

The event then followed by the Signing of Joint Declaration that signed by the Attorney General with:

His Excellency Mr Zhang Jun, Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the People's Republic of China,

Her Excellency Madam Chea Leang, Prosecutor General of the Kingdom of Cambodia;

His Excellency Dr Arminsyah, Vice Attorney General of the Republic of Indonesia;

His Excellency Mr Xaysana Khotphouthone, Deputy Supreme People's Prosecutor of the Lao People's Democratic Republic;

Her Excellency Datin Paduka Zauyah Be binti T. Loth Khan, Solicitor General II of Malaysia;

His Excellency Mr U Win Myint, Deputy Attorney General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar;

His Excellency Mr Lucien Wong, Senior Counsel (S.C.), Attorney-General of the Republic of Singapore;

His Excellency Mr Nattachak Pattamsingh Na Ayuthaya, Inspector General, Office of Attorney General of the Kingdom of Thailand;

and His Excellency Tran Cong Phan, Deputy Prosecutor General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Through this Joint declaration, the Prosecutors-General of ASEAN member states and China among others, reaffirmed their strong commitment to working closely together to address cybercrime and cyber security related threats as well as other transnational organised crimes at both national and regional levels.
