Collaborative Approach with Private Sector in Sports Facility Development

Bandar seri begawan: The development of sports facilities has gained significant attention from the council, as stated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, during his debate comments. He explained that providing large-scale facilities necessitates careful reviews, focusing on the long-term investment efficacy.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Yang Berhormat emphasized the government's encouragement for private sector involvement in the development, management, and maintenance of sports facilities. Such collaboration is seen as having the potential to stimulate local economic growth and create new job opportunities. To facilitate this, the Ministry is actively implementing the Request for Proposal (RFP) initiative, aimed at opening opportunities for local companies to engage in the development of sports facilities.
