Collective Prevention for a Happier Nation

Islam forbids its followers from getting involved in things that may be harmful such as drinking alcohol, gambling, corruption and things that intoxicate such as drug abuse. Drug abuse and trafficking is prohibited in terms of Islamic and national law because it may have negative and harmful effects. Yesterday’s Friday sermon entitled ‘Collective Prevention for a Happier Nation’ also emphasized that among the negative effects and harms of drug abuse and trafficking are it can destroying homes and disrupting families; destroying the well-being of community life; and burdening and threatening national security.

Therefore, the community’s responsibilities is needed to help the Narcotics Control Bureau in preventing and eradicating drug syndicate activities occurring in the country. And, paying attention to children’s and family’s activities that may prevent them from falling into this risky activity.

In conjunction with the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit trafficking celebrated every 26th of June, in line with this year’s theme ‘Collective Prevention For A Happier Nation’, lets increase awareness and understanding of the dangers of drug abuse.
