Colorectal Cancer Awareness Campaign

In 2020, colorectal cancer is the most common cancer among men, and the second most common cancer among women. Cancers that are detected at early stages have a chance of getting effective treatment, and avoid or prevent complications as well as reduce the risk of death. To raise public awareness on colorectal cancer, a campaign on it was held this morning during the Bandarku Ceria Programme.

The campaign was organised by Bachelor of Health Sciences in Medicine students from the Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences, Universiti Brunei Darussalam. There are 4 types of screenings offered under the National Health Screening Programme for colorectal cancer screening conducted by the Ministry of Health. Forms can be obtained at health centre counters or download at ppkk.gov.bn.
