As a social institution that is directly involved with providing assistance and services to the community, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah has forged strategic cooperation with government and private agencies and non-government organisations as well as volunteers in ensuring that community work can be carried out in a proper and effective manner. This morning, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah with the cooperation of the Kampong Panchor Mengkubau National Housing Scheme Consultative Council held a community activity at the National Housing Scheme's Recreation Park.
Among those participating were Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, who is also a member of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Board of Directors and member of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Volunteers Committee; and Dato Paduka Eddie bin Dato Paduka Haji Sunny, Managing Director of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. The community works also involved the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah volunteers through the Community Assistance and Emergencies Project Committee.
Also participating in the activity were 21 students from Singapore's Innova Junior College, who are in the country for their Malay Language Elective Programme - M.L.E.P Overseas Immersion Trip 2017. Apart from showing the actual life of the Bruneian Community, who still maintains the practise of voluntary works, the activity was aimed at providing beneficial experience as well as instilling community spirit.
