Islam demands its ummah to be istiqamah or consistent in all deeds to enable the control of shaping good morals that adorn the ways and life of a Muslim. Continuous in practising religious acts and good deeds and being hardworking in carrying out duties will enable a learned and highly skilled person to control emotional disturbance and frustrations. It will also shape positive behaviour. The matter was among the highlights of the Premier Forum titled "Consistent in Carrying out Duties in the Name of Allah". It was held in conjunction with 100 Years of the Royal Brunei Police Force. The forum was held this afternoon at the Mess Banquet Hall, Gadong Police Headquarters.
In attendance was Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali, Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force. Two panellists, Doctor Haji Hambali bin Haji Jaili, Director of the Centre for The Promotion of Knowledge and Languages Learning, Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic Universiti, UNISSA and Awang Haji Fansuri Sharimi@ Mansur bin Mohamad Ali, Religious Development Officer, Ministry of Religious Affairs discussed the importance of istiqamah in every Muslim and the importance of being thankful for blessings given by Allah. They also urged the ummah to be sincere in executing their duties to reap Allah's blessings. The forum is hoped to increase knowledge and teach members of the Police force to lead a life based on the teachings and perspectives of Islam.
