In the month of January 2023, 31 people have embraced Islam throughout the country. Of the number, 13 people are from Brunei Muara District. The number of new converts in the country increased when two female Iban chose Islam as their new faith.
Dayang Levenna Mariem Anak Levin Juna, aged 20, is now known as Nur Levenna Mariem binti Abdullah Levin Juna. The conversion ceremony was conducted in front of officers from Da’wah Development Division, Islamic Da’wah Centre. Present was Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Isa bin Pengiran Haji Aliuddin, Member of the Legislative Council.
Meanwhile, a conversion ceremony was also held at the Islamic Da’wah Centre. Dayang Lewany Anak Jelidi, aged 19, is now known as Nur Lewani binti Jelidi
