Good defence and military relations continue to be strengthened between Brunei Darussalam and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. This is clearly evident during the official Introductory Visit by the Chief of Army Staff, Pakistan Army to the Ministry of Defence at Bolkiah Garrison this morning.
His Excellency General Qamar Javed Bajwa, first made a courtesy call on Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja (Rtd) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, the Second Minister of Defence. Apart from such visits, bilateral defence and military relations are also enhanced through professional exchanges, multi-directional exercises, trainings and courses.
His Excellency then made a courtesy call on Major General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces. Both parties discussed the potential of cooperation to further enhance and bolster bilateral defence relations. Prior to the Ministry of Defence visit, His Excellency also visited the Royal Brunei Land Force Headquarters at Berakas Garrison.
