Courtesy Call and Luncheon

In the afternoon, His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office held a Courtesy Call and attended a Luncheon hosted by His Excellency Lee Hsien Loong, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore. The events were held at the Istana, Republic of Singapore. During the Courtesy Call at the West Drawing Room, His Royal Highness and His Excellency among other things agreed to establish a training programme for civil servants from Brunei Darussalam towards increasing their capacity and cooperation under the relevant sectors, through work placements in the government agencies of the Republic of Singapore.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore. During the Courtesy Call, His Royal Highness and His Excellency also touched on expanding education cooperation, in which a scholarship will be introduced to open up opportunities for Brunei Darussalam students who achieved excellence performance to pursue their studies at the secondary level until higher education in the Republic of Singapore. After the Courtesy Call, His Royal Highness, together with His Excellency attended the Luncheon at the Banquet Hall.
