A local male was found guilty by the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate’s Court for an offence under Section 146 1 ‘D’ of the Excise Order 2006.
62-year old, Lisa bin Husain, which was found guilty for possessing 49 cartons of cigarettes of various brands was sentenced to $34,000 fine or 14 months imprisonment in default before the 30th of December2021. He was arrested by the Law Enforcement Division, Royal Customs and Excise Department at a house in Kampung Wasan, Jalan Limau Manis on the 26th of May. All contraband were seized to be destroyed.
