Cyber-crime cases that has been charged in the country including those caused by viral messages and spreading false information are among the issues highlighted during the talk on Awareness and Safety: Issues and Challenges in Cyber Safety. This morning's talk was held at the official residence of the Tutong District Officer.
The talk was organised by the Brunei National Computer Emergency Response Team, BruCERT in collaboration with the Tutong District Office. The talk delivered by Awangku Mohd Farid Zulhusni bin Pengiran Aziz from BruCERT aimed to raise public awareness and exposure as well as to enhance alertness on cyber-crime and information sharing in relation to legal issues. Also present was Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Wahab bin Apong, Member of the Legislative Council who is also the Penghulu of Mukim Tanjong Maya. 100 people attended the talk comprising penghulus, village chiefs and members of Village Legislative Council in Tutong District.
