Da’ie from Overseas Must Get Accreditation

The First Meeting of the 19th Session of the Legislative Council continued yesterday for the 11th day, with the session still reviewing and deliberating the proposed budget allocation for the Ministry of Religious Affairs. In response to a query raised by Yang Berhormat Awang Mohamad Ali bin Tanjong on Dai’e accreditation, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs explained that Dai’e from overseas must get accreditation and given guidelines.

For local Da’ie, their accreditation will be assessed annually whether to continue it or otherwise, and this is also true for Da’ie from overseas. Local Da’ie and Da’ie from overseas, they will be assessed annually whether to continue or otherwise. They will also be given guidelines at an earlier date or while they are in the country.
