Fasting has three levels. Firstly is fasting in general which is preventing from fulfilling the desires such as for food and drink. Secondly, fasting in specific, which is to prevent the whole body and not only the stomach, including the eyes, ears, tongue, hand and feet from carrying out sinful acts and thirdly. Fasting in completion, which is fasting of the whole body including the heart in remembering Allah Ta’ala and preventing from worldly matters that lead to carelessness. This was among the contents of the Dawn Lecture in Ramadhan during the Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat Programme at Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.
Among those present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Paduka HAJI Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Awang Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Religious at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
