The mosque is also referred to as the House of Allah and attending the mass prayers at the mosque is many times better than praying alone. In this regard, the Ministry of Relgious Affairs through the Mosque Affairs Department, the Islamic Da’wah Centre and the Islamic Eminence Development Division continues the ‘Masjidku Ma’mur, Negara Berkat’ programme yesterday morning with the mass dawn prayer. The programme means enlivening the mosque bring blessings to the country.
The congregants included Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Yang Berhormat (Retired) Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Acting Minister of Religious Affairs. The talk titled, ‘Al-Quran Brightens Family Life’ touched on the Muslims’ obligation to learn the contents of the Holy Book because it is not only a religious act but also because Allah the Almighty elevates the position of those who read Al-Quran. The Tazkirah or talk was delivered by Awang Mohammad Ali Sabri bin Haji Yussof, a Lecturer from the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute. Also in attendance was Awang Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang, the Deputy Permanent Secretary for Policy and Religion at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
