Next was the Declaration of Intent between the Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam and the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye on Defence Cooperation. Signing on behalf of His Majesty’s Government was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs, while signing on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Türkiye was Professor Dr. Ismail Demir, President of the Defence Industry Agency of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye.
The Declaration of Intent, DoI is to establish a framework for defence cooperation with a view to enhancing and developing cooperation between both countries.
