Declaration of Restricted Air Space Over Brunei International Airport

Bandar seri begawan: As additional security and safety measures, the areas within an 8 kilometre radius from the Brunei International Airport have been declared as restricted airspace on the 31st of May, and the 1st of June 2026. The Department of Civil Aviation announced that unauthorized aircraft, including drones, are prohibited from operating in this airspace during the specified period.

According to Radio Television Brunei, this restriction is part of an effort to enhance security and ensure safety around the airport. The department emphasized that non-compliance with this regulation constitutes a violation of Brunei Darussalam's laws, specifically under Section 50 of the Civil Aviation Act.
