A local man was arrested for being found carrying 11 packages and boxes containing fireworks and firecrackers of various types. The individual, a 40-year old uniformed personnel, was detained during a monitoring patrol conducted by personnel of the Bangar Police Station, Royal Brunei Police Force in Kampung Belais area, Temburong District.
As a result of the inspection on his vehicle, a number of boxes containing firecrackers were found in the back of the passenger seat and the vehicle’s trunk. The individuals involved, his vehicle and confiscated items were brought to the Bangar Police Station for further investigation. The case is being investigated under the Arms and Explosives Act chapter 58.
