All mosques, surau and religious halls throughout the country continue to echo with dikir in conjunction with the birthday celebration of the Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wassalam. Delegation from several Ministries late yesterday afternoon enlivened several mosques for the Ihya Maulidur Rasul ceremony.
The delegation from the Ministry of Education held the dikir ceremony at the Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kiarong. The ceremony was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Education. Also present was his Deputy, Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs also held a similar ceremony at the Muhammad Jamalul Alam mosque in Kuala Belait. The delegation was led by Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. Also present were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Abdul Hamid bin Haji Mumin, member of the Legislative Council; Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yusof, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Awang Roslan bin Haji Taja'ah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Administration and Finance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Awang Haji Serudin bin Haji Timbang, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Core and Religious at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The delegation from the Prime Minister's Office and the departments under it also held such ceremony at the Mohamed Bolkiah mosque in Kampong Serusop. The delegation was led by Awang Haji Kamaluddin bin Haji Bungsu, Permanent Secretary for Manpower and SHENA at the Prime Minister's Office.
