The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism will continue to implement initiatives, programmes and projects that have been and are currently being implemented and identified as well as think about new strategies and initiatives as well as programmes, to support efforts in realizing the vision and mission as well as strategic direction. Speaking at a discussion session with Members of the Legislative Council, the Minister Of Primary Resources And Tourism explained that the Ministry mainly focuses on the planning and implementation of programmes and initiatives aimed at efforts to support growth as well as increase industrial output under the food sector, needs as well as importance to the Development And Conservation Of Forest Resources And Tourism Industry Development.
Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin shared, Brunei Darussalam has successfully exported several agricultural and fishery products and the latest is the successful export of 300,000 chicken eggs to Singapore for the first time.
The Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism said that with the success in exporting chicken eggs to Singapore, the Ministry will continue to collaborate with the relevant authority as well as entrepreneurs to make appropriate coordination, planning and preparation for the export of fresh chicken and meat-based products and other agriculture and fisheries products to be exported to Singapore and other countries.
The delegation of Legislative Council members was led by Yang Berhormat Doctor Awang Haji Mahali bin Haji Momin. Yang Berhormat in his speech hoped that the sharing of information, issues and suggestions that were discussed will benefit the concerned Ministry. The session aimed towards having a productive two-way discussion towards achieving the ministry’s goal of excellence.
