The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports with the cooperation of the Strategic Study and Policy Centre, KINI is actively disseminating information on the existing National Youth Policy and the National Youth Policy Review Study. The study which began last month involves more than three thousand youth from 15 years to 40 years old including working youth, jobseekers, students of secondary schools and higher learning institutes, members of youth associations working in the private and government sector as well as differently abled youth. The dissemination of the National Youth Policy and the Study Session Reviewing the National Youth Policy took place at the National Archives Department in Jalan Dewan Majlis yesterday afternoon.
The study is part of continuous efforts by the Government of His Majesty Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam towards greater involvement of youth in national development. The information collected would be used to review the National Youth Policy based on facts and provide a more relevant and comprehensive youth development strategy framework for the next 10 years. The feedback from youth is important for the development and future of youth in line with the country's desire to realise the goals of Wawasan Brunei 2035.
