The distribution of sunat sacrificial meat of His Majesty and members the Royal Family in the 4 districts will be held consecutively for a period of 2 days, Saturday, the 1st of August 2020, and Sunday, the 2nd of August 2020.
There are 11,484 recipients from Brunei Muara District; 2,143 recipients from Belait District; 2,485 recipients from Tutong District; and 548 recipients from Temburong District who will be receiving the sunat sacrificial meat this year.
In view of the of the current situation and in safeguarding the welfare of various parties from the spread of COVID-19, distribution of His Majesty and members of the Royal Family’s sunat sacrificial meat will be delivered directly to the recipients in their respective houses in the four districts.
For this purpose, 218 groups comprising of more than 1,200 people consisting of government officers, volunteers representing Belia-Belia Masjid, Belia Brunei and Belia Kampung of the Village Consultative Council will be involved in the distributions. The collective cooperation of all agencies is highly appreciated in an effort to ensure the distribution of His Majesty and members of the Royal Family’s sacrificial meat will be implemented in an organised manner, and in line with carrying out the responsibilities that has been entrusted by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam who wants to see the certain group of the population will also receive His Majesty and members of the Royal Family’s sacrificial meat in conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya Aidil Adha.
