In conjunction with the 28th Teacher’s Day celebration, the Ministry Religious Affairs and Ministry of Education organised a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony. The ceremony took place at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien mosque in the capital.
Present were Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, the Minister of Education. The ceremony commenced with the mass Fardhu Asar prayer, followed by the reading of ratib al-attas. One thousand 500 officers and staffs as well as teachers from schools, colleges, higher education and technical institutions from both Ministries attended the ceremony. Also present were Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs and Datin Seri Paduka Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, the Deputy Minister of Education. Meanwhile, a Doa Kesyukuran ceremony for schools under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Ministry of Education will be held simultaneously at the respective schools on Wednesday.
