To achieve Haji Mabrur, intending pilgrims are urged to be steadfast in their niat or intention and efforts; to conduct themselves properly while in the holy land; to perform their obligatory prayers on time and to be kind to mankind and other creatures. This matter was shared during the Doa Selamat ceremony for intending pilgrims from the Ministry of Communications and departments as well as agencies under it, yesterday morning.
Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, the Minister of Communications. Doctor Andas Haji Ismuhadi bin Haji Abdullah, a lecturer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre in his talk stressed on maximum efforts to obtain a Haj that is mabrur or blessed and accepted by Allah Subahanahu Wataala.
The ceremony saw presentation of donations to 15 intending pilgrims comprising officers and staff of the ministry and departments under it including Brunei Darussalam Maritime and Ports Authority. Also in-attendance were Awang Haji Azhar bin Haji Ahmad, the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications and his deputy, Doctor Awang Haji Supry bin Haji Awang Ladi.
