The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications will implement the de-escalation phase from Level 3 to Level 4 for all driving schools nationwide from the 27th of July 2020. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib Bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications shared the matter during a similar media conference.
Driving Schools are allowed to held classes as usual, at a regular capacity at one time by adhering to the stipulated guidelines and directives issued by the ministry. This include Highway Code Test and Driving Test. The Land Transport Department, Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications has released a guideline for practical class and driving test by considering the directives issued by the Ministry of Health as follow: To scan BruHealth QR Code before entering and leaving the driving school premise; conduct body temperature checks; practise self-hygiene and apply hand sanitizers; use face mask AND to apply cleaning and sanitizing works after every class or highway code test (HWC). The vehicle used for training and test to be clean and disinfected before and after use. Driving schools operators are to allowed 15 minutes interval break for the vehicle, by opening all the vehicle doors to allow air circulation.
