Early Endemic Phase Guidelines for Driving Schools

Following the Endemic Phase which starts yesterday, the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications shared the latest information on several matters. For Standard Operating Procedures SOPs, the opening of Driving Schools and Public Transport, all driving schools are allowed to operate physically up to fifty per cent capacity at the First Stage.

Inline with the Early Endemic Phase Guidelines for Driving Schools issued through the website at www.jpm.gov.bn, all driving schools are allowed to operate physically up to 50% capacity in the First Stage and 70% at the Second Stage with Standard Operating Procedures SOP as prescribed.

Meanwhile, driving tests will also be conducted by the Land Transport Department in accordance with the endemic phase SOP that has been set. Public Transport such as buses, taxis and e-hailing services as well as transport of taxis water, the number of passengers is increased to 75% of the previous total passenger capacity of 50% excluding drivers and ensure the availability of social distancing measures. This means that the vehicle seat capacity and number of passengers for taxis and e-Hailing vehicles such as DART service is according to the vehicle seat capacity for example the vehicle seat capacity is 5 people and the passenger limit is 3 people and so on if the capacity is 7 people and the passenger limit is 4 people.
