Earth Hour once again unites millions of people worldwide to show their commitment to the planet. Last night, Brunei Darussalam celebrated the event at the Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas and Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Bridge in the capital.
This year, Earth Hour continues to shine a light on climate action to inspire and empower individuals, communities, businesses and governments to be a part of critical climate action. Present was Sheikh Jamaluddin Sheikh Mohamad, Earth Hour Ambassador for Brunei Darussalam.
In the Belait District, the event was held at Taman Pesiaran Jalan Sungai Kuala Belait with a 4 kilometre walkathon around Pekan Kuala Belait. The event was participated by more than 200 people comprising officers and staff of government departments, private agencies, village chiefs and members of the public.
