Brunei Darussalam and Oman have enjoyed warm relations for many years now. In the field of education, various exchange of visits has taken place since the very first Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in the fields of Higher Education, Education and Training. The matter was stated by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Doctor Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Md Salleh, Minister of Education at The Sultanate of Oman-Brunei Darussalam Cooperation Dialogue Education Forum. The event was held yesterday afternoon at Universiti Brunei Darussalam, UBD.
The event coincided with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU between the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and the Government of the Sultanate of Oman in the Field of Higher Education. Signing on behalf of Brunei Darussalam was the Minister of Education and on behalf of the Sultanate of Oman, His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Al Maskari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to Brunei Darussalam. The Education Forum, themed the ‘Transformation of International Collaboration in the Digital Age, was jointly organised by the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in the country and UBD.
