His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam who is also Chancellor of Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA in a titah says Islamic studies and education must continue to be empowered because they are the core of all interests which can bring all the good things to the people and the country. His Majesty delivered the titah during His Majesty delivered the titah during the 9th Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA Convocation at the International Convention Centre in Berakas yesterday morning. In the titah, His Majesty also emphasises UNISSA is unique and different from other institutions of higher studies, hence it is pressed to chase world ranking as a benchmark of excellence. Instead His Majesty urges UNISSA to create the criteria for excellence through the academic works of its lecturers and students by writing regularly and sending the materials to international journals. In the titah, the Monarch also reminds UNISSA to be prepared for involvement in Fourth Industrial Revolution which has drastically changed the lifestyle of people and the world in the field of work.
