Bandar seri begawan: The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union, Kaja Kallas, has acknowledged Brunei Darussalam's significant contribution as the Coordinating Country for the EU-ASEAN dialogue. She praised the aspirations outlined in Wawasan Brunei 2035 during an exclusive interview with RTB News. Her visit was centered around attending the 25th ASEAN-European Union Ministerial Meeting, hosted by Brunei earlier this week.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Kallas, who also serves as the Vice-President of the European Commission, expressed her support for Brunei's economic diversification initiatives. She noted the potential and strengths the country has in areas such as digitalisation, food security, and environmental sustainability.
During her visit, Kallas also engaged with Bruneian youth and highlighted the critical role of women in peacebuilding efforts.
