The implementation and usage of E-invoice portal since 2017 has expedited the payment process for invoices submitted by the suppliers in the country as well as government departments. This matter was explained during an interview on the introduction, objective and benefits of TAFIS E-invoice on Rampai Pagi segment yesterday morning.
Dayang Azza Yossie Binti Haji Abdul Aziz, Senior Finance Officer at the Treasury Department, Ministry of Finance and Economy, added the E-invoice portal is a facility provided by the Treasury Department, Ministry of Finance and Economy that allows suppliers to submit their invoices and digital supporting documents at anytime, anywhere. Unregistered new suppliers are required to register. Apart from visiting the website at 'www.tafis.gov.bn', suppliers can seek consultation on the usage at help desk, Treasury Department, Ministry of Finance and Economy. Among the objectives is to capture actual date of the invoice submission to improve monitoring and accountability of respective parties.
