Fallen Trees Incident

Throughout January this year, the Fire and Rescue Department has received 35 emergency calls involving fallen trees nationwide.

According to the Fire and Rescue Department statistics, from 1st to 30th of January 2022, the Brunei Muara District has received 25 emergency calls, Belait District recorded 5 emergency calls, while Tutong District received 2 emergency calls and 3 emergency calls in Temburong District.

In a recent incident, 4 firefighters and a fire engine from Pengkalan Batu Fire Station were rushed to remove a 12-metres fallen tree that has blocked part of the road nearby Kampung Batong. No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. During this uncertain weather conditions and to avoid fallen tree incident at residential area, it is best to plant most trees as far from a house as possible.
