Today, we visited the exhibition of movie posters starring Mitr Chaibancha, as well as the screening of the movie Inthri Thong, starring Mitr Chaibancha and Petchara Chaowarat, in the museum's cinema. This year, in addition to the merit-making activity dedicated to 'Mit Chaibancha', there was also the unveiling of the 'Mit Chaibancha' brass puppet and the activity of closing the 'Mit Chaibancha' movie poster, screening the movie for the participants to watch together, as well as the activity of remembering the 12 artists and celebrities who passed away in October. Mr. Bancha Wajasuwan, owner of the Mitr Chaibancha Museum, said that this 'Mr. Mitr Chaibancha' brass puppet was created by Mr. Bin Banluerit, a famous actor and film director, who played music to create the puppet. It cost over 100,000 baht in 1991. When the puppet was finished, he intended to take it to Wat Kae, but faced a problem, so he had to move it to the Ambassador Cinema in Bangkok instead. It stayed there for about 2-3 years, and the cinema closed. The puppet was moved to the Five Star Cinema in Korat for almost 30 years. Then, on September 2, 2024, the cinema closed, so he contacted the Mitr Chaibancha Cinema to bring the puppet here. This puppet looks very much like 'Mr. Mitr Chaibancha', made entirely of brass, wearing a golden eagle mask, which is an episode from the movie 'Intri Daeng'. Our favorite hero 'Mit Chaibancha' was born on January 28, 1934, real name Flight Sergeant Pichet Phumhem, from Phetchaburi province. At that time, he starred in more than 300 films. 'Mit Chaibancha' met with a helicopter acc ident while filming the movie 'Insee Thong' at Dongtan Beach, South Pattaya, Chon Buri Province on October 8, 1970. He passed away at the age of only 36.
