Some 3,000 participants from various Government Ministries and Departments, Schools, Institutions of Higher Education as well as teams from 7 ethnic will take part in the field performance of the 39th National Day Anniversary Celebration this year. In ensuring that the celebration runs smoothly, the first joint rehearsal was held yesterday.
This year, the performance is based on the concept of ‘Menjayakan Wawasan Negara’ or Accomplishing the National Vision, with a focus on the sub-theme namely the cultural heritage of the nation’s identity. The performance which has the concept of 3 zaman or 3 eras or 3 segments is to revive the pure aspects of Brunei culture and will presented from the aspects of movement, sound, design as well as fashion and clothing.
Meanwhile, 850 students from primary, secondary and higher education institutions will participate in the performance this year.
The 39th National Day Anniversary Celebration will also joining by one of the international students as a performance participant from the Republic of Maldives studying at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
