The Mukim Liang Consultative Council organised a National Flag Hoisting Ceremony in conjunction with the 39th National Day. The flag hoisting took place on 17th February morning, at the Kampung Lumut Community Hall.
The ceremony began with the handover of the national flag from the ‘Seni Warisan Pelangi’ Association to Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Salleh bin Haji Othman, Member of the Legislative Council. This was followed by the flag presentation to representatives of Kampung Sungai Liang Association. The flag hoisting was accompanied by the national anthem, Allah Peliharakan Sultan.
