The heavy rainfall which occurred throughout the country last night has caused flash floods and land slides over a few areas.
A number of houses were inundated. The Weather Forecast Centre, Brunei Darussalam Meteorological Department has issued a warning advisory of the risk of flash floods at low-lying and flood prone areas during heavy rain, which if combined with high tide can cause land slides and falling trees. The Fire and Rescue Department last night received 5 calls on falling trees at Brunei Muara District and 4 calls on land slides at Tutong District.
