The Embassy of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste in Brunei Darussalam handed over food packs to the Drive-Thru donation held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.
The donation of over 400 food packs including necessities for babies was handed over by His Excellency Abel Guterres, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste to Brunei Darussalam to Dr. Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health received a cheque amounting to $13,240 from the Brunei Ophthalmology Society and $3,300 from Rabitah International Alumni of Al-Azhar Brunei Darussalam. The contributions were for the COVID-19 Relief Fund. The donations were received by Pengiran Dr. Haji Mohd Khalifah bin Pengiran Haji Ismail, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Professional at the Ministry of Health. The presentation of donations was held at the Ministry of Health.
Contributions were also received from UBD Corporation Sendirian Berhad and several individuals. The public who wish to donate can contact the MOH Emergency Operation Centre directly at 729 5712 during office hours only.
