The football scheme organised by the Youth and Sports Department with the cooperation of the National Football Association Brunei Darussalam, or NFABD, is hoped to produce new players and provide early exposure to the sport of football to the younger generation at the grassroots level. This morning the scheme was launched was at the Berakas Sports Complex.
The scheme was launched by Haji Zafri bin Hj Mohammad, Acting Director of Youth and Sports. Aside from giving guidance and practical demonstrations to children aged between 10 to 12 years, the scheme is also a long-term preparation for developing the sport of football in the country. Also present was Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Acting Secretary General of NFABD. The scheme is held every Friday morning.
