Francophonie Week Closing Ceremony

The Francophonie Week aimed to give exposure to the youths in further understanding of the French language and culture. It is also hoped to serve as a platform for the youth to discover better the French speaking world. This was stated by Her Excellency Loan Forgeron, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of France to Brunei Darussalam at the Closing Ceremony of Francophonie Week, yesterday.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also present was Datin Paduka Doctor Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Her Excellency Loan Forgeron in her speech also said that the Francophone Week can encourage the public to learn more about France and find out more about its culture. The closing ceremony was enlivened by a musical performance.
