Bandar seri begawan: The Funeral Management Workshop, organized by the Masjid Universiti, Universiti Brunei Darussalam Mosque Takmir Committee, took place on the morning of November 16. This initiative aimed to educate the Muslim community on funeral management practices, which are considered a fardu kifayah.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the workshop saw participation from members of the Masjid Universiti Mosque Takmir Committee and Muslimah, including representatives from the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajjah Saleha Mosque, Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque, Kampung Perpindahan Mata-Mata Mosque, and Kampung Beribi Mosque. The workshop was designed to provide both theoretical and practical knowledge of funeral management in accordance with Islamic law.
Certificates for participation were distributed by Yang Berhormat Awang Mohammad Ali bin Tanjong, a Member of the Legislative Council, as a part of the workshop’s closing ceremony. Participants expressed hopes that the knowledge gained would enhance their understanding and capability in managing funeral rites within their communities.
