Generate Income through Sale of Pisang Madu Crackers

Temburong: The One Village One Product, 1K1P, initiative is an effort to encourage residents to be active in improving local well-being and socio-economics. One of the popular products under this initiative is dry food such as pisang madu crackers, produced by the Mukim Kampung Batu Apoi Consultative Council in the Temburong District.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the production of these crackers began 8 years ago with Syarikat Nurlino Enterprise, which later rebranded as Syarikat Ayunda Enterprise to maintain the production of local products under the 1K1P initiative. This company supplies dry food such as banana crackers, contributing to the local economy.

Dayang Nur Haslina, a key figure in the production, receives orders for at least 1,000 to 1,500 boxes of banana crackers each month, especially from customers planning events. To manage production efficiently, customers are required to place orders at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance.

The 1K1P initiative serves not only as a local product development programme but also as a symbol of village unity, a space to build community identity, and a path towards shaping a progressive and united community.
