The Police Wives and Family Welfare Association, PEKERTI and the wives of the delegation heads and assistants to the 38th ASEAN countries Police Chief Summit, this afternoon held a goodwill visit to the Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al Hajah Maryam in Bengkurong.
In the visit, the delegation was given briefing on the centre's function and learning status delivered by Pengiran Datin Hajah Noraini binti Pengiran Dipa Negara Laila DiRaja Pengiran Haji Abdul Momin, Executive Trustee of the Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam.
The visit was coincided with the launching of 2 Speech Therapy rooms of the centre officiated by Datin Hajah Kamariah binti Haji Abdul Hamid, President of PEKERTI. PEKERTI has donated two sets of desktops, 2 sets of children's tables and chairs and "Oral Placement Therapy" equipment's. The therapy rooms able to provide clinical management and diagnosis on oral problem related to speaking, swallow, Linguistic Cognitive and communication for the special need children from the aspect of development.
Dancing performance was also presented by the children of Pusat Ehsan. Also present were Awang Haji Ahmad bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Trustee for Policy and Planning of the centre and Pengiran Datin Hajah Zauyah binti Pengiran Haji Sulaiman, Chairperson of PEKERTI. The Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam in Bengkurong is now possessed more than Two Thousand special need children, while 70 special need children in the Kuala Belait branch.
