Learning equipment worth more than 15 thousand 2 hundred dollars was handed over to 29 special needs students from the four districts by the Curriculum Development Department yesterday morning.
The presentation of the contributions was officiated by Doktor Haji Azaman bin Ahmad, Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education. The contribution was from funds raised during the charity run held last August through the initiative programme, IKHLAS. Also present was Doctor Haji Supry bin Haji Awang Ladi, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications. Awang Salim bin Haji Puteh, Acting Senior Education Officer, special Needs Unit hoped that the contribution will enhance the academic and social requirements of the recipients.
